Planting

Plant strawberry plants as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring.
Strawberry plants require 6-10 hours of direct sunlight so be sure to choose the ideal planting area.
Prepare your soil a ahead of time with compost or aged manure.
Raised beds are perfect for strawberry plants as your planting area needs to be well-drained.

How To Plant Bareroot Strawberries
Strawberries are planted 12-18" apart in rows 4 feet apart.
Make planting holes deep and wide enough to accommodate the entire root system without bending it. However, don’t plant too deep! The roots should be covered, but the crown should be right at the soil surface. It is very important that you do NOT bury the crown (central growing bud) of the plant, or it could rot.
After planting your bare root strawberry plants water them thoroughly afterwards.
